Wheeler Squadron in Flight

Cadets under 18 can go on 10 free flights consisting of 5 glider flights and 5 powered flights.  Cadets must complete the following in Axis (in CAP eServices) (https://www.capnhq.gov/CAP.LMS.Web/Default.aspx):

  • Aircraft Ground Handling Course

  • Glider

    • Wing Runner Course

    • L23 Blanik Familiarization

When training is complete, cadets need to reference CAP Pamphlet 60-40 (also on the RELATED DOCUMENTS on the right side of this webpage) before their first flight.  This is the training syllabus that the orientation pilot will use on the day of your cadet's flight.  You cadet will understand the basics of flight, get a feel of the aircraft, and experience takeoffs and landings.

If there are any questions, the cadet can reach out to the Wheeler Squadron AE officer.
